All of God's Promises

We were working on a neighbors fence after Monday and Tuesday nights storm and this is what we saw!! Cortney P. started singing "all of his promises won't let go of me!"

Isn't it amazing how, even in the little ways, God reminds us of His love for us.

Fun Weekend Ahead

This upcoming weekend we have fun stuff going on. Memorial Day always brings outdoor fun for our family. We honor the people that have served and those that are currently serving our country, and we do not make light of that. However, we usually go camping on that weekend. . . almost every one since I have been married. Now that we have kids, its even more fun because we ALL get to enjoy the great outdoors and step away from "the normal" together. Family, tents, campfires. . . . not to mention I LOVE SMORES!!!!
I am also very excited about our church's picnic this year. It's going to be a lot of fun. I'm not much for fishing, but there is just something about my kids and fishing poles that makes my heart smile! It's going to be a fun weekend and I'm ready!!

Ready for Summer

The things of summer are kickin' off around here in full swing. Trips to the park, walks to Meme and Poppy's, street bike rides, and longer evenings playing outside are just a few of our favorites. Shaylin is just counting down the days until school is out, and I think that Elijah is equally looking forward to having her around to "entertain" him!!
This past weekend we had a yard sale. Another one of my favorite things about summer. . . only I like to go to them, not so much host them. (:   It was a lot of work, but it really paid off. We got rid of a lot of junk!! I can't forget Mother's Day either. After my parents returned from a week away (vacation) it was nice to be able to spend the day with my mom, my sister, and my daughter!! Kind of a "girls day out". We do not usually get too many of those!!
As the warmer weather greets us head on, it makes me look forward to the fun things we are planning. Camping trips, amusement parks, and swimming in the pool. We enjoy all seasons of family time, but some of our best memories have been made in the sunshine.
                                    Summertime, HERE WE COME!!!

Easter '11

So it was nasty yesterday, but I did manage to get ONE picture
before the flooding started!! (Both of my children looked way to grown up!) However we made the most of the yucky day and started the day off celebrating the fact that OUR JESUS LIVES!! Then after church we went to my aunt and uncle's house for some food, fun, and family time!!  We did a little inside egg hunting and played lots of games. It was a good time, and a great day!!

...all my needs...

I have heard a lot of comments lately on rising gas prices, and how people are just barely affording to put gas in their vehicles. MY thoughts to those comments are, "Where, or better yet WHO, does your supply come from?? Who is your source? I have been thinking a lot about what Pastor Nate said a few weeks ago.

The Amplified version of the Bible says "And my God will liberally supply ([a]fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

And the dictionary defines supply like this:
sup·ply  (s-pl)
v. sup·plied, sup·ply·ing, sup·plies
v.tr.
1. To make available for use; provide.
2. To furnish or equip with: supplied sheets for every bed.
3. To fill sufficiently; satisfy: supply a need.
4. To make up for (a deficiency, for example); compensate for.
5. To serve temporarily as a substitute in (a church, for example).

I don't know about you, but to me that is great news. That God loves me so much HE is going to satisfy all of my needs. And He isn't going to just make sure I have it, but He is providing MORE than enough. "Fill to the FULL."  Full gas tanks, Full bank accounts, Full bellies for me and my family, Full closets of clothes that fit well, Full peace and Full joy in my household, Full health in our bodies, and the list goes on.

Our family is trusting the God of "more than enough" to take care of us!!
He is faithful. . . He will provide!!  Hallelujah!!

This is a special day! Twenty one years ago, on this exact day, my parents married each other. There was a time I would have told you that I thought my dad was crazy for getting married after only 3 months of dating. . .  but looking back. . . God had a plan. Not only for them, but for me and my sister as well.
I am so glad that our family is what it is. I'm so thankful that we are so close. I was a little girl that could have let circumstances guide me through life. . . but I am who I am today because of them. God knew exactly what OUR FAMILY needed. . . and it was each other!!
                                    Happy Anniversary Dad and Brenda!!
